3rd task... ASSUMPTIONS

For this task we have to see around 25 assumptions  that are tendencys that usually occur on short term missions and also some advices...i disagree on one that says " we interpret everything we see through our own cultural framework rather than learning , over time, to identify with another culture". Well i just dont like it...from my perspective if someone goes to a place and just begins to see all the diferences and doesnt tries to learn them ....well i think he shouldnt have gone in the first place... We go to missions to 1st of all let people know and see gods work, 2nd ..Help ..and we cant do both if we dont learn and adjust with their culture. I  know that if a Buddhist come to me, trying to tell me about all the things of his religion with a certain personality that i dont know how tohandle because hes not from my culture , Im not gonna listen to him because i wil think and maybe thats just me,  that  he doesnt care  about me actually he just wants to ACCOMPLISH HIS MISSION OF SPREADING THE WORD.  For me...the mission here its not just saying Jesus is amazing he loves you ...John 3:16 , its prooving it, be an example, but also a friend someone that can answer , guide give an advice... i think i will feel better returning to panama knowing i helped people by just listening and advicing, than knowing i spread the word. This is a thought i know has maybe ...i dont know...a not God centered point of view, but its the way i see it, and i think God will help me do both.
The other one are right, none of them actually gets my attention, i actually feel that are points to follow to accomplish a good work , but they dont get my attention.
